We keep vintage
computers alive

Apple Macintosh, Commodore, Amiga and vintage PCs — tested, refurbished and ready for a new home. We sell working classics and peripherals, restore the ones that need saving, and show them off at events, all by a small crew of obsessives who do wild things with old silicon.

    Refurbish & Retrobright

Yellowed and grimy to factory-fresh beige.

Deep cleaning, retrobrighting sun-yellowed plastics back to their original colour, replacing perished rubber feet, and testing every key and port. Cosmetic and mechanical, done properly — it's how every machine we sell gets ready for its next owner.

    Repair & Restoration

Dead machine? We bring it back to life.

Recapping leaky logic boards, replacing failed PSUs, and swapping dying floppy and SCSI drives for modern flash storage. If it powered on in 1989, we can make it power on today. We take on a limited number of projects as time allows — reach out and we'll let you know.

    Prop & Set Rentals

Working period tech for your shoot.

Filmmakers, photographers and stylists — rent authentic, working vintage computers, consoles and peripherals for your set. Our gear has already featured on film: an Atari 7800, period Macs and more, dressed and running for camera. Tell us the era and we'll match it.

The Collection

A rotating cast of machines that have passed across the bench — tested, fixed, and running real software. This is what “alive” looks like.

  • An Atari 7800 console and a boxed Centipede cartridge on a green carpet, a child's hands on the joystick

    > Prop rentals available

That Atari 7800 was a real prop rental — we hire out working vintage units for photo and film shoots.

A creative collaboration
of retro obsessives

Computer Compulsive started as a creative collaboration between Keith, Will and Craig — and a shared, slightly unreasonable love of the machines that started it all. Today we're a small, growing crew who repair, refurbish, retrobright and resurrect vintage computers.

We document the wild stuff on our YouTube channel — logic-board surgery, BlueSCSI mods, bringing dead Macs back from the grave — in the spirit of the 8-bit and 16-bit hacker culture that raised us. If it's old, weird and computational, we're into it.
